Wow, what a day - Overture is out (private pressing at first, then launched to the on-line stores later this week), and our launch party as well. OK, I admit it, we had a bit of a drink and after celebrating the launch we went to see JMJ.... so sue us.

OK it's been a while since I've added anything meaningful to the blog so here goes! We've just completed Conflict and it's a real tribute (there's another good name for a song) to Richard's sublime creative musical genius that it still stands the test of time.... and the secret? The baseline is only ever in one key! See - I told you he was clever.... or lazy, but who cares. Nice one Ric!
In the wings at the moment are two brand new tunes.... one a slow one (by me) and another revamped song which we started a few years ago but never finished - I think we got stuck. Anyway, we're hoping to complete these soon and burn our new album called.... erm where was I?.... oh, that's right... Lost!
Great - it'll be a mixture of new new and new old songs which has been our ambition for this project. We're still keen to redo old stuff and keep it refreshed while also producing new material.
The back catalogue is also nealy finished and will be available to purchase soon.
Right that's enough for another few years I think.

Awww - aint he sweet.....? It takes two to tango pally, and we have created something special with "Planet Cinema" Now then, its off to Studio AD2 for a rewok of 'overture' then? No Soft synths this time, lets just see what the Triton and the Trinty V3 have in them eh?

Planet Cinema has been re-recorded and, in a rare moment of agreement, both me and Richard can state that it's a real blinder of an AD track. It also represents a shift in recording methods by using virtual synths to compliment our 'real' studio set up. Richard's 'expert' knowledge of VSTs and MIDI lead to several serious technical problems being solved during the final stages of recording and his unquestionable ability to 'pen' quality tunes over chord progressions has lead to a great tune being absolutley superb. Nice one Ric!! (Going to puke in bucket now).

Its gotta be pally.. to my mind 'Overture' is one of our very best, and it just HAS to be done. But I have to warn you, 'Synth Drive' is starting to emerge every time I play now and whilst I dont want to make the next album nothing but updates, I can see one or two of these making it, cant you?

Richard and I started on the new album this week. Unfortunately, Nikki seems to have blagged the details to anno-domini.co.uk so we can't really pretend it isn't happneing. Anyway, I was pottering around last weekend and heard Nikki humming an AD classic, Overture. Result! And who knows, Integration was on Revival, could Overture make a come back on MR2007-02. What d'ya reckon Ric?

Well, I can only back up 100% Andys comment below.. our relationship over the past 30 years or so has been based on a constant barrage of abuse and insults, a split? Just had a look at the My Space site and noticed that we have about as many visitors there as we do at this website! But as Richard says, early days. Anyway, you may have noticed on the news page that the press have picked up on a split between the band. I would like to say that, personally, nothing has changed between Andy and Richard. They have never really been anything other than 'split' and it's only through a common love of all repetative music that we even talk to each other! Maybe Ric will reply to this comment soon....

My space eh? What the hell is that all about... well, I will be the first to step forward and say I havent a clue.. I mean come on, it took me over 10 years to work out that my Korg X3 had an undo button on it. Still, you can't have missed the myspace way of promotion.. well.. OK, I did until recently. But now I am up to speed. This site is our home, but we will be adding info to both sites over time.
