February 2012

More new music - as you might have already picked up from our Facebook feed, the lads have been in the studio again and have recorded another track for the next album. Its called "OED52" - go figure.

January 2012

Old news? nope - just an update

26 November 2003 - Concorde 216, the last to remain flying and the last to fly supersonically, makes her final journey home to Filton. During her flying career, Concorde 216 has flown 18,257 hours, made 5,639 supersonic flights and completed 6,045 landings

Anno Domini have immortalised that flight in their track, "speedbird"

And you can visit Concorde Alpha Foxtrott at Filton, but visiting http://concordeatfilton.org.uk (that said, right at the moment BAE systems are carring out some maintenance, so you might have to wait a while).

December 2011

Happy new year to you all - we end 2011 with some exciting news from the studio. The lads have been hard at it over the Christmas period and have put 2 more tracks to bed - at the moment they are in mixing and currently together are titled "2011". However we have been informed that they will be split and form the opening and closing track of the new album.

2012 is shaping up to be an interesting one then - new music on the way!!!!

December 2011

Well, Merry Christmas one and all - hope 2011 has been good for you all.

Whilst the lads are composing (which is news), we have a few little odds and sods for you all. For example, lets start with December's top 3 Anno Domini tracks according to I-Tunes.

Well, there you go, straight into no1 from no-where - Speedbird. We here at Anno-Domini.co.uk have to add, you all have good taste.

Elsewhere, the back catalogue work is moving on a pace - have you clicked on the image of the cover (in November's news)? Now that is the sort of thing the back catalogues are all about, classic AD tracks!

November 2011

Told you we would have something for you .... on the lads Facebook page is a sneak preview of 2 new tracks. Follow the link below for more

http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=259853337399463&set=vb.182782105119541&type=2&theater

And if all that new stuff wasn't enough for you, we have even more (old) news for you too. Try clicking on the image below to see what we mean :-)

The first back catalogue release is coming up - we don't have the dates yet, but are sure it will be in the next few weeks. Most interestingly however is that magic number "1" - meaning there has to be a few of these coming....

We can't wait.

October 2011

More rehearsing at the moment, but we do hope to have something to announce very soon.

September 2011

An update for you from the world of Spotify. This months top 3 Anno Domini tracks are:

You know, who'd have thought the 1994 'Kaos' would be so popular?

August 2011

Oh, don't think that just because its August we have forgotten you... oh no.

Firstly, August 24th saw the 20th anniversary of Anno Domini's Destruction of Time gig, and to celebrate the lads published some images on facebook (click here

June 2011

Oh dear - Richard has a new toy. ProTools eh? Its not going to end well......

Separate to that the lads had a meeting at the start of June and will be back in the studio in the next few weeks; more than likely without ProTools, which is probably for the best.

May 2011

Sales news - we are delighted to announce that March was a record month for Anno Domini sales.

May 2011

Fear not - Anno Domini are not asleep, we just needed a rest for a few months. That doesn't mean the lads are not busy though - oh no.

Andy is working on a top secret project right now (with a little 'help' from Richard), meanwhile Richard is working on a new retro-project; and is currently pulling together some older Anno Domini tracks with a view to a new album release later in the year.

BING!? oh, yes, the search engine. We are on the first page of that now then. :-)

Hello to Germany too - lots more sales there. Hello guys, please dont read too much into "Declaration" or "Conflict" - its socail commentary, not just having a pop. :-)

October 2010

Mid way through October, and of course the talk is of Overture. The private pressing is out and the main release is heading for the on-line stores right now.

Of course the lads enjoyed their launch party (at the O2), but some french guy with lots of lasers did seem to steel the show ;-)

September 2010

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Both Andy and Richard want to say "ta" to everyone buying our Revival/Progressions/Planet Cinema released on line. And even more impressing, thanks to the gusy in Japan, Germany and the USA who are spreading the word for us.

August 2010

OK, so lets have another look at whats hot on Spotify then...?

Well, what do you know? Kaos Theory 2 is stil there; most other things are mixed up though. Great to see 1992's Alarm! making a comeback eh?

July 2010

Spotify news (?) No really. Hot off the press, here is Spotify's Anno Domini top 5.

So there you have it - much to the lad's surprise, nothing from Planet Cinema EP, oh no its Kaos theory (2). Interesting eh?

So whats going to be top in August... well, it really is up to you.

July 2010

Laser harp news (more at www.laserharp.co.uk) - the system is working! Its still a prototype, but its firing off midi messages all over the place... (and looking cool)

July 2010

More sales (well what did you expect) and some airplay in Germany? Well, it look slike Planet Cinema is proving rather popular worldwide.

Guten Tag!

June 2010

Sales figures for the first half of the year have been - well, quite staggering really. This has been the bands most sucessful sales period in their history!

However, special mention has to be given to our sales in Japan. Anno Domini are delighted to report our first sales ever in the land of the rising sun, and its not just a couple either. Japaneese tour anyone?

May 2010

Progressions re-release

The wornderful digital world in which we all live in - ah yes.... it allows us to order pizza from our armchairs, take part in endless ebay auctions for things we don't want and check up on football scores from the other side of the world. But its not all pointless, oh no.

The 17th of May 2010 sees the digital re-release of Anno Domini's classic 1994 album "Progressions".

Available to download from all good sites, this album really shows the lads as they get into their stride.

It also has the orignal version of Overture on it (re-released on the 2010 Planet Cinema EP).

Other highlights include declaration, dance machine and the entire Progressions movement. So what are you waiting for? Complete your Anno Domini colleciton and get downloading now!

April 2010

Lots doing in April, not least the latest releases (see below). But the lads are not sitting on the backsides, oh no. They have recorded a new track for Overture and have filmed the video for Conflict.... no handing around in the pop industry eh?

April 2010

i-tunes will never know what's hit it... Revival is available to download now (more to follow in the coming weeks)

March 2010

New merchendise available now from the Anno Domini store (click here)

So anyone can offer T-shirts and hats, but Anno Domini are proud to also announce a new range of underwear (yes ladies, you too can have Anno Domini.. well.. close to your .. er.. heart?). But its not just for women, oh no - men, you can have the "that's going to look good from behind" boxer shorts (a famous quote by Richard many years ago).

But it doesnt stop there; along with Planet Cinema, Conflict and Overture T shirts, tote bags and even lanyards, the lads are very pleased to announce their top seller - the "make food not war" conflict apron (no kitchen is kitch without one)!

So visit the Anno Domini store today - the link is above, as well as on the front page

Its going to be released on the 10th October 2010 (yep, thats 10/10/10, and for those of you who care that is also the same day Jean Michel Jarre plays the O2 - get your priorities right please... buy the album, and see the show!)

Summer-Autumn 2009

A little quite on the Anno Domini front eh? Don't you believe it. All kings of things have happened over the summer.

June - Anno Domini visit Silverstone... so no music, but it was Andy's stag do

July - busy busy

August - Congratulations to Andy and Nikki on their wedding

September (09/09/09) - ah, rehersals and composing again. The lads are back to their old tricks and new music is being recorded right now.

April 2009

New album sneek peek... (well, listen really).....

Just relax, and goto the Anno Domini Myspace page (click here) to listen to the radio edit of "Planet Cinema" from the new album "Lost".

April 2009

Conflict has landed and it's good! Massively updated since the chaps last version, it still includes all the original samples. although with new insert effects added. It's over 5 mintues long and will be available to listen online soon on our My Space site.

It was completed on Firday 3 April at the Massara studio despite originally produced at Dundas studio. This was to enable the guys to add some much needed effects and give it a really wide and spacial sound - did we say the drums rock?!!

New album is still coming on.... or are we Lost?

March 2009

Are Anno Domini Lost?

The new album is coming....

March 2009

New recording time (already)... Andy and Richard spend all of last night (March 10th) working on a new version of Conflict. This is quite a unique project for the lads, as it was all started some months ago by Andy - with the baseline provided by Richard (remotely). Richard recorded it and then email it to Andy, who then loaded it into his system before continuing the piece. Last night the lads got together to seriously process the track, and although not finished, its bloody close.

More news as and when......

February 2009

The next Anno Domini single (planet cinema) has been remixed by Richard. He told us that he wanted to go for a full radio edit (3 minutes 30 seconds, cliche all the way), and aims to have it done by the end of the month.

Other than than, Anno Domini have announced their appearance at Wembley Arean on May 22nd with Jean Michel Jarre - OK, so they are not playing (it just sounded good). The lads will be watching one of their (obvious) muscial influences... probably open mouthed.

January 2009

(already? it can't be). As Anno Domini enter their 31st year, their new compositions are coming on nicely, especially as Richard is now working with the Korg nano range of kit on his laptop - feel free to do your own puns here.

Strangely enough, Silverstone 2009 for the british GP may well see an Anno Domini appearance; but more about that nearer the time. And lets not forget, the lads are planning something very special for the end of August.

As always, more news as and when - rest assured, you will get the latest updates here first.

December 2008

It cant be the end of the year already? Well, Anno Domin have been busy, and Andy's reworking of Conflict is coming along nicely (all together now "just relax - and listen". And if you have no idea what we are on about, you need to listen to some of our back catalogue... (due for release in 2009).

So merry Christmas and a very happy new year to you all - here's to a 2009 full of prospects. :-)

October 2008

Rumours abound - there may be a concert coming up... more news as and when we get it, but there appears to be a good chance of a very special event next summer.

October 2008

It's been a busy few months for the chaps. Richard has been trawling through the back catalogue and MP3ing all the old tunes, meanwhile Andy has been listening and getting some long awaited inspiration from Richard's old stuff. So we're gobsmacked to announce that Andy is reworking Richard's all time classic, Conflict, into a new modern version - of course with Richard's endorsment! "It's not a patch on the original", said Andy, "although I've really gone back to basics with the baseline and drums... definitely 'old skool' programming! And loving it".  He continued, "Richard kindly re-programmed the complicated baseline and, in an AD first, emailed the track  and samples to me and loaded it onto the Triton. Modern technology - marvelous." In addition to the original "Just relax" sample, Ric has also resampled the "All our hearts go out.... never in the field of human conflict..." Winston Churchill speech (as featured in the 92 Prospects tour) to work into the mix. Can't wait to hear the result... and I don't think Ric can either!

Meanwhile, Richard's taking some well deserved time off to play with his other organ. Hope it's OK Ric!

August2008

'The Chase' is here - a dark new piece by Anno Domini, written and recorded by Andy and Richard on 01.08.08 - almost a sinlge take as well. This dark moody piece is a little leftfield for the lads, not a single thats for sure, but is still something quite special. A preview will be on line soon.

July 2008

Revival goes on sale at Lulu.com, just click on the logo belowto be taken to the store

Support independent publishing: buy this disc on Lulu.

More album tracks are being recorded during this month - no new as yet, but you can be sure you will read about it here first.

June 2008

The Laser Harp is moving on nicely, with a new laser system being designed in now.

Planet Cinema radio edit - shock news, it has gained a key change. (that wasnt in the original....)

Anno Domini @ 30 - Richard has just worked out that he is 36 and is worried...."did we really start when I was 6????"

May 2008

Planet Cinema radio edit is in progress. The original piece is 7 minutes long, so a 3 minute 30 second verison is being mixed.

Anno Domini @ 30 is progressing well, with Andy getting the main tune sorted well before Richard has chance to hash it up for him.

April 2008

Overture (2008) is complete.

It will be on the next album, which we beleive will be called Planet Cinema.... but there is plenty of time for that to change. However, after some negotiation, it would appear that Anno Domini are throwing their hat into the ring to provide the 2012 London Olympic anthem. So Overture is beign put up for the job. Watch this space.

March 2008

Much excitment in the world of Anno Domini as they visit the Royal Albert Hall. Yes, for the first time in 11 years the lads get to pray at the alter of Mons. Jarre.

March 30th saw Jean Michel Jarre visit the Royal Albert Hall, London to play Oxygene live, and to mark its 30th anniversaty (hang on, its 31 years isnt it?). Well, lets be honest, Anno Domini own a hell of a lot to Jarre, and its not too difficult to see (sorry, hear) the influence.

Despite having to negotiate many scary fan-boys, and one or two frightening women, I think its fair to say the lads enjoyed the night. And who knows, next time Anno Domini could be on stage - well, not playing Oxygene anyway.....

February 2008

Overture 2008 first cut is finished. There are a few more minor adjustments, but our first listen can reveal that it's truly a masterpiece - a fantastic rework of the original without losing the original's classic AD sound.

And during our preview, Andy & Richard announced that work will now begin on an epic piece of work to celebrate 30 years of making music together. It's likely to be formed in three parts (similar to their old annual tunes, such as 1990, 1992) although further details are yet to be confirmed.

February 2008

The Laser Harp is coming to Anno Domini. (no really)... Work has already begun, expect more news soon. Click here for a separate web site with details

Jan into Feb - more Anno Domini rehersals - overture is taking shape nicely.

January 2008

Overture is here. Ah yes, it may be an 'older' tune, but this modern make-over takes this fantasitc swell of music right into the 21st centuary. More news soon.

Jean Michel Jarre news -

OK, so we are the Anno Domini site, but we simply cannot ignore Mon. Jarre as he is simply the most imporant infuence of the lads. Jean Michel Jarre is performing at the Royal Albert Hall, London on March 30th 2008. I think its fair to say Andy and Richard will be there .. .. .. (now how do you get to be the support act).

December 2007

Lots happen in December each year. Tradition for the Anno Domini lads is to record a tune with the name of the current year (hence 2006 on "revival" you see). Sadly this year, they were too busy getting drunk, but have promised great things in 2008.

Happy Christmas to you all from Andy & Richard

November 2007

Lets put the music to one side for a second...

CONGRATULATIONS to Andy and Nikki on their engagement (at Dundas castle no less!)

October 2007

The lads have confirmed work on the new Overture track - so that at least gets us off the hook for reporting it last month eh? We can report that it is shaping up to be special - and certinaly a departure from the original. More news as we have it (but then the track is not finished yet.....)

September 2007

Confirmation of work on MR2007-02

OK. We got in trouble last time for talking about the new project Anno Domini are working on and the lawyers decided to go out for a night on the town to discuss a final settlement. A few pints later, anno-domini.co.uk and the band realised that actually "who gave a toss" if anyone new about the new project and we can now freely report. 5 pints later and Andy and Richard confirmed that Planet Cinema has now been re-recorded and in their words - sad though they are - "It's pure class." Andy's blogg might give you a better insight and whet your appetite... and in the coming month... well. while Richard was shaking hands with the unemployed, Andy confirmed the band's intention to remake Overture. Oh yes, we can't wait for that - no really, we can't.

August 2007

Web site update

This site has been updated again - we have now added a search facility on our home page (click here) as well as taking on some more advertising - sorry, but it pays the bills eh? :-)

There is a new forum up and running - the old one just kept dropping posts, so as of 22-08-07 we have launched a new one. Click here to join in (but dont forget to register first)

August 2007

Something is coming.. something rather special. The Anno Domini overture is on the way.

August 2007

"Revival" news

Several people have emailed the band asking about where to buy a copy of Revival. Well, here's an update....

Revival will be available from amazon.co.uk and iTunes within the next month. There have been a few delays, but the guys are now confident it will be by the end of August. They have agreed a distribution deal with manic-records.co.uk and are now full steam ahead!

Initial work begins on new album

No sooner has Revival been released, the guys are working on their new album. The first track is rumoured to be a re-make of Planet Cinema, the track that was replaced at the last minute on Revival. Not that we've heard it yet, but sources close to the band say that they realised it was potentially their 'big break' song and they pulled it at the last minute to give it the full AD treatment. The same source, who has heard the first draft, also agrees. "This is a great driving tune. I've heard the original that was supposed to go on Revival, but this will blow you away". Manic Records have issued a project reference number for the album: MR2007-02. More news soon...

July 2007 - The votes are in

July 2007 - Revival Launch Night 07/07/07

After a long time out, Anno Domini finally return with their new album "Revival". We were granted exclusive access to the launch party and have captured these images and interviews just for anno-domini.co.uk

To give you a flavour of the event, we have included some quotes taken during the evening in amoungst the photos below.

Andy and Richard are obviously pleased to finally get their hands on the finished CD.

They kept us guessing right to the end, and even included a different track on the CD "Western Sunset".

Meanwhile, the original track 10 - "Planet Cinema" will be released shortly after a remix - possibly with the name "plan-c"

"shame that Debbie Harry didn't come"

Andy was especially pleased with the quality of the refreshments (love the T-Shirt by the way).

Andy - "I am especially proud of this one - despite Richard's drumming we have produced something really quite special"

"had too much smirnoff"

Richard on the other hand found that the beer was indeed full of alcohol - strong alcohol as well... "Blimey, I appear to have grown a 3rd arm."

Richard - "I have to say, this is a superb collection, despite my drumming".

"personally, mine was undercooked, but quite moist"

The WAGS were especially pleased by the turn-out.

Jackie - "zzzzzzzzzz..er.. oh, too much vodka"

Nikki - "the highlight of my evening was making the bottles and cleaning the sh!t Andy left on the hob... oh the music?..never liked their stuff anyway"

"its a good job i didnt have a mouth-full when you did that!"

Don't mess with me... right?

Andy - "its been an emotional journey. You cannot underestimate just how awful its been working with Richard on this album. He really is an ar$e h*le"

"there were some lovely birds at the event"

Now smile for the camera...no.. I said smile.. come on.. SMILE... ah, forget it!

Andy - "were looking at producing our next album remotely, without the need to be in the same room"

Richard - "hey, now thats an idea, it saves .. well.. you know, me seeing.. THAT!"

"I like these lights"

er.. how strong was the "refreshment"?

Richard - "has he gone yet? good, what a bloody tugger.. I mean he thinks I cant drum for toffee.. but at least I can use the black notes!"

And so thats it - the Anno Domini "Revival" album is out. The final track listing is

 Track - Title - Time
 1 - eastern sunrise (5:19)
 2 - full circle (5:18)
 3 - 2006 (4:49)

July 2007

Strange occurances in the world of Anno Domini - it would seem that Richard is about to change his surname.

Richard Massara meets Homer Simpson (Richard is on the left)

July 2007

"Revival" launch party

Indeed, scary though the thought is, Andy and Richard are hosting an Anno Donini Album launch party (think curry). To be hosted on 07.07.07, we will have the exclusive news here ASAP - you have been warned!

July 2007

The new album "Revival" is nearly here and we have some exclusive news ahead of its launch. Firstly, the new album cover:

This is the wrap-around image showing both front and back covers of the CD - and immediately it reminds us of the Honda F1 team car.. "humm fast and noisy eh? and the F1 car is too" a source close to the band remarked recently.

The next piece of exclusive news is that we have secured the final confirmed track listing - and there are a couple of surpirses:

1-Full Circle  5m18s
220064m49s
3Sync3m40s
42Take4m30s
5Integration (the 2006 mix)5m16s
6Horizons3m26s
7Eastern Sunrise 5m19s
8Revival 4m04s
98 second song 0m09s
10-Planet Cinema 8m15s
  Bonus Tracks
11-Shipwreck (classic 1993 version)4m47s
12-Alarm! Live (1992 version)4m07s

As you can see Andy and Richard have decided to inclde 2 bonus tracks with "Revival", both over 14 year old (!)... But what tracks - Shipwreck and Alarm! are both classic Anno Domini, fast paced, catchy and moreover original.

You can hear an excert from alarm by going to the multimedia section (click here)

June 2007

Horizons is out and the new album name of "Revival" is in (and you may have noticed our new webpage headder by now too. To be launched at the start of July, it will be virtually identical to the Horizons listing previously shown in these pages.

May 2007

BREAKING NEWS - 11 May 2007..... contracts exchanged for new studio location in Leighton Buzzard. Andy experimenting with a new 'micro' studio set up to save space. Reverberation test and resonance sounding nearly complete.. MORE SOON!!!

04. 2Take

06. Full circle
07. 8 second song
08. Revival
09. Eastern Sunrise

10. Planet Cinema

April 2007

Fridge Magnets now on sale - priced at £1.99 each - please email us for any orders.

April 2007

Splits? No chance - the only split in the Anno Domini world right now is the one in Richard's underpants.

In what must be a record for the guys, two unsequenced (in other words 100% live) tracks were recorded in one evening. "2take" and "Planet Cinema" were both put to bed on the 27th April 2007. Not bad for two guys that have been hacking away at music for about 30 years!

March 2007

Major news coming soon.... apparantly, there's been a major split in the band. That is, the two of them have fallen out and are going to court over exactly who owns the Korg Triton. Andy trusted Richard with it for a month while the new studio takes shape, meanwhile, Richard has filed for a possession order claiming that "possession is nine-tenths" of the law. However, regardless of the court's decision, expect something unusual to be produced by Richard over the coming weeks... (and, yes, before you say it, we know he produces something unusual on a daily basis, but that's another story!)

March 2007

New web site launched - let us know what you think contact us here.

March 2007

Anno Domini invade myspace: We have added a myspace account to our web invasion, at www.myspace.com/annodominisounds. Nothing there at the moment, but give it time eh?

March 2007

Well, what a lot can happen in a few days eh? Its looking like the lads are going to get a new (purpose built) studio in the next few months. The building is still in construction, so no firm detials at this time - but Andy has assurred us that it will be "Class"... so it must be good!

Heading up the M1? No, not motorway travel - the mightly Korg M1 is BACK!!! The M1 dominated the Anno Domini sound in the early 1990s, and so Richard thought it was time for a revival. However this time, its bigger and badder than before.. well.. OK, its a software Korg M1, but WOW, what a sound! To give you an idea of how ingrained the M1 is to Anno-Domini's music, just listen to the MP3 samples (click here). The orchastra hit in Alarm? Yep, thats the M1, the funky effects in Emperor..? yep, just about everythign recorded in 1992-1994 ? yep.

February 2007

Enter the emperor is not a crap rip off of a Bruce Lee film (nor is it an adult movie!). "The Emperor of Time" - later shortened to Emperor is a classic Anno Domini track from 1991, it is being given the PC makeover at the moment - more news soon.

January 2007

New kit time again.. well sort of. Years ago the Anno Domini sound was dominated by the Alesis SR16 drum machine. Sadly it had long since departed, but i am delighted to tell you that Richard has picked a new one up (thank you Digital village!). Also, there is a new music PC up and runnign, s a new lease of life for the Emu0404, sampling system! The low tech bit from the headline? well.. have you heard Richard's drumming skills?

January 2007

Happy new year everyone, and what better way to start tha wiht the birth of Oliver? Ah yes, Andy and Nikki have had a son.. time to get a starter keyboard! Congratulations!

December 2006

Lots to do in December, but first of all - Andy and Richard would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas for 2006 and a very happy 2007.

Anno Domini have put a new tune to bed - and in what must be a record for them have gone from a blank piece of paper, through the complete composition and arrangment phase and recorded "2006" within 6 hours.. and that time included a curry break!

November 2006

Anno Domini are plesed to announce a new web site launch. Currently the new site is a WIP, but as it has been designed personally by Andy you can be sure it will be special

November 2006

Happy Bonfire night!

October 25th 2006

Live from studio AD, the finishing touches are being added to Sync right now. We hav ebeen granted exclusive access to listen to the final mix being produced. More soon....

New arpeggio being added at 2min point..

Big drum into added...

Final mix to be completed by 10pm

PS. Andy has just discovered his Korg M1 had an UNDO button, and that was in 1992!

October 2006

So whats in a name? The new Anno Domini album is nearing completion and no name has been forthcomming as yet. Andy and Richard will be choosing one soon, but do you have any suggestions? Let us know at info@anno-domini.co.uk - how often do you get a chance like this? join in with the band, make the album that bit more special.... and no, "greatest hits" is not going to happen for a long time yet, so don't suggest it!

October 2006

I think its fair to say that October has caught everyone here are www.anno-domini.co.uk out. Its arrived very quickly and is passing even faster. So what is happening? Well Andy and Richard and rehearsing and composing at the moment. Studio AD is set to ring out with more music in the next few days, and with a bit of luck there should be a completed album to write-up in the next few weeks.

September 2006

It may not sound like much to you, but programming a synth can be a stressful business. As Richard has recently explained to us.

"you wouldn't believe the problems we have both had in the past, you spend hours trying to get 'that sound' or 'that sequence' and then one wrong measure delete and you had stuffed it".

"..and then, one day Andy say words to the effect 'do you know what the 'compare' button does on your trinity?'.. well, we pressed it, and bugger me if it didn't take us back to the last change.. press it again and you go back to where you were......"

"so...er...??? thats an UNDO then? BLOODY HELL, I have wanted one of those for about 9 years.... HANG ON, MY BLOODY X3 HAS ONE AS WELL!!!!!"

OK, so it turns out the lads are just like any other guys.. instructions? nah, I can work it out!

September 2006

At a recent recording session (on the 13th to be exact) a new Anno Domini tune has been going through pre-edit. The temporary title is "Sync", at this time we are not sure if that will be the final name. But our exclusive preview of the tune can reveal that the bass of this new track is like nothing you have ever heard from Anno-Domini before!

September 2006

Andy has informed us that the video for Horizons is now completed. In his executive editor role, he has had direct input into the video and reliably informs us that it is "all his own work!"

August 2006

Horizon, a specially commissioned piece for John Lewis has been recorded. In what must be a record for the band, it took less than a day as well. The track should also be included on the next album, so you will all get a chance to hear it, not just if you work for John Lewis

August 2006

The new Anno Domini Logo is launched, replacing our old one of many years (below)

Please see the front page, or the Anno Domini store for more detail

August 2006

Its hardly holywood (and you need to install Real Player to view it), but the first of many films have now been added to the site. In our Multimedia section you can now find MP3s, short films and details on how Anno Domini achieve that sound.

August 2006

Breaking out in yellow. The new Anno Domini release is not even finished yet, but already the cover has been designed. this shot is actually a Korg Trinity V3 screen,

August 2006

The Destruction of Time - once again...... Actually, its been re-issues on double CD. This classic 1991 Anno Domini concert has been given a digital make over and is now available for sale from this site for a very reasnoble £12.99 - Please email us for more details at info@anno-domini.co.uk

August 2006

A day in the life of Anno Domini?

A recent rehearsal and recording session was captured so that you can all see what the guys are up to, so please feast your eyes on Studio AD

And to prove the guys are actually there, here are Andy and Richard hard at work (and not posing at all - oh no)

Andrew Dundas - August 2006

Richard Massara - August 2006

July 2006

Coming soon

* The full Anno Domini back catalogue is currently being archived. The up side of this mammoth task is it will mean a full discography on this site. AND WE MEAN FULL! everything recorded from 1977 onwards..

* Back in 1992, when the floors were sticky with promice. The lads embarked on a gig in Watford - named after a tune of the time, Prospects '92 was their biggest gig up to that time. The full story is being written at the moment and will be published in the "all about" section shortly.

July 2006

The band has added some VST synths for you to have a play with. Well, strictly there are on a different site, but we have linked to it for your pleasure :-)

Any budding PC based synthist should start here (synthzone) AND they should get a copy of Computer Music mag... everything you need is on the cover DVD.

July 2006

Anno Domini take their work very seriously (can't you tell?) but Googlism really has us down to a tea, and has summed the band up better in a few brief (and slightly insulting) sentences then we ever could. Visit http://www.googlism.com/index.htm?ism=anno+domini&type=2 to find out what we are all about :-)

Especially the final line, which at the time of writting proudly proclaimed:

"anno domini is wholly irrelevant"

Kind of makes you all warm and fuzzy doesn't it?

June 2006

Web site updates - we are continually updating our site, but we want to hear from you! If you have anything you would like to see added to anno-domini.co.uk, please let us know via our contact page. Recently we have added links to videos, magazines, other bands.

Coming soon - web site links for virtual instruments (VSTs) as used by the band

June 2006

Hot, damm hot. So hot in fact that it has made Richard's PC crash. So (for the moment at least) its back to the old trusty hardware synths.

May 2006

3:0 ? you what?? Better click here (link to Google Video)

May 2006

Las Vegas gets to hear the Anno Domini sound... OK, so its not as impressive as it sounds as Richard blasts out a version of "Full Circle" whilst driving up the strip on holiday.. but it still counts!

May 2006

Happy birthday to us - the "new" Anno Domini web site is 1 year old this month. And although we say so ourselves, the visitor numbers are at record levels!

April 2006

More sales go though the new Anno Domini store - Click HERE to view our range.

April 2006

Drummin' for kicks? Anno Domini's new proteus-X sample system has rapidly become a real favourite. The beat shop 2 system is certain to find its way on to the next recording one way or another!

April 2006

Congratulations to Andy as his new piece of kit (the mighty Korg Triton Studio) is installed at Studio AD. You can expect to hear much more about this fantastic piece of kit in the coming months, and it is certian to herald more new AD tracks!

March 2006

Integration 2006 mix has been set to silver plastic - sorry, recorded. A mammoth 5 minutes 16 seconds of mood synth music. A modern update to the classic original - this captures the mood of the 1990 piece, but brings it bang up to date.

March 2006

The E-mu has landed! New kit is always an exciting time for the lads of Anno Domini, and march brings a new E-mu system for the PC. E-mu created some of the worlds first (and best - well for the time) samplers, and the name was made world famous in the early 1980s by artists such as Jean Michel Jarre - have you heard his Zoolook album? If not then you are missing out! Now its Anno Domini's turn to have a play

March 2006

"Revival" CD to be launched. The lads have confirmed that a CD of new Anno Domini tracks is to be launched later this year. Recent recordings including Eastern Sunrise and Full Circle are sure to be included - as is the reworking if Integration.

March 2006

The lads will soon be reviewing their back catalogue (over a beer or two no doubt). Their recordings go back as far as 1977, but realistically the quality recordings started in 1989. There is a chance of a "Anno Domini Rare" collection being released if demand is high enough. Email in if you are interested

February 2006

Anno Domini gets a No.1 - OK, it may only be a top placing for web searches, but it still counts! This site appears in the No1 of several search engines in the UK including bbc.co.uk, Lycos.co.uk, and alta vista - no success with Google yet, but we will keep trying

February 2006

Further rehearsals have taken place already in February. Moreover Integration has been edited again. Its a long process to produce an Anno Domini tune, but it takes even longer to remake one. However we have be assured that it will be worth the wait - and a MP3 sample will follow once the track is completed.

January 2006

Track excepts have now been made available in the Music/MP3 section. 64k MP3s have been selected top give maximum play for minimum file size. Excepts only at this time, full MP3s a potential if distribution deal can be tied up.

January 2006

The Anno Domini Store is launched, offering merchandise, T-shirts, mugs etc. Click HERE to visit

January 2006

Happy new Year everyone - 2006AD

Studio AD is taking shape nicely, and a specially developed pipe acoustic test has proven to be a winner - sweet music to follow on soon.

Meanwhile the branch into PC based synths has started to take place. Anno Domini has always been a hardware only electronic band, however recent developments have lead to experiments in PC based synths / drum machines / samplers. More news as and when, but the early signs are good.

December 2005

A very Merry Christmas to you all... deck the halls etc... !

December 2005

A new studio has been purchased, to say Andy is chuffed is an understatement! A new layout to "Studio AD" will no doubt follow - more news as and when.

November 2005

Integration 2005 work progresses, along with detailed negotiations about "Studio AD"

October 2005

A potential new studio location has been found - more news to follow

A re-recording of "Integration" is on the cards. A more modern version of this classic 1991 Anno Domini Track. More news as soon as we have it.

September 2005

As yet un-named, but AD have recorded a new dance track. 5 minutes long, and thumping throughout - it builds on the simple baseline, but evolves as all Anno Domini tunes do. Sampler track to be uploaded soon.

August 2005

Two new tracks have been recorded

Revival - a classic fast edge AD track. Synth lead and drums, drum sampling also used.

Eastern Sunrise - a slow building track, off beat samples build along with strings and a dark synth sound to create the atmosphere. Huge sound - very dramatic

July 2005

Rehearsals start

May 2005

New Anno Domini web site lauched

Compilation album put together "Anno Domini - looking at Future history"
